Our project team comprises of four members and we assigned role and responsibilities to each member according to his area of expertise and skill sets. My role is the team as “Librarian/Researcher” includes the responsibilities of collecting all the required authentic information related to the project from books, research papers or internet.
Comment on the project significance, aims and objectives and what you have learnt from this experience.
[100 words]
This project is quite significant as Nokia is one the well-known brand in the mobile phone industry and at one time they had more the 60% share of the market but decline of such company is quite considerable.
So, the purpose of this project is to introduce new and advanced mobile smartphone for Nokia to regain its reputation
This project is good source of learning for me. What I learned majorly is that in order to make a project successful, business strategy should be continuously updated. You should be adaptive towards new technology to gain customer satisfaction and to come up with your competitors. Identify and explain one or two key problem[s]/risk[s] encountered and describe your response and why that approach was chosen.
[100 words]

The analysis of success factor is the major problem in the project planning, because it depends on the users and the question is, will they really accept the new interface and technology in the Nokia phones.
So, we have done different surveys and interviews and gathered different responses from the people. We also use prototype to analyse, how the user interacts with the new face of Nokia phones. The data collected from this analysis was very useful and it gave us the sound knowledge about the project success in the future. Explain what team dynamics worked well during the semester and why. What insights will you take into future projects?
[100 words]

Assignment of the roles to the team members was the key factor towards the smooth running and timely completion of the project. Every person was assigned a role according to its expertise and skills. Moreover, every member is dedicated towards the work, so this thing also played an important role towards project completion.
Tools for making prototypes was “Just in mind prototyper” and softwares for making reports, analysing the data by designing graphs, tables and gant charts include “MS World, MS Visio, MS Excel”. These were very useful in giving us the major understanding of the user requirements. So, we will use these assets for our future projects. Identify one or two key team dynamics [positive or negative] which impacted your team’s performance?
Explain how these were managed. Describe your key learning outcomes?
[100 words]

Collaboration of team members remained excellent during the project. Role identification of every member was very helpful in giving the proper direction to every team individual’s work. There was the proper homework, and the key points were already defined before every discussion and team meeting. Also, there was the freedom for every member to give suggestions and opinions about the project.
There were some rules for team that are defined by the mutual consent of every team member and every individual followed them strictly. Dedication of the team members played significant role in achieving project objectives in an efficient and effective manner. Team management, assigning roles and meeting deadlines were the key learning outcomes of the project. Identify one aspect that: Worked well Did not work so well. Explain your choice using one illustration for each from your weekly progress reports to support your choice.
[100 words]

The aspect that “worked well” was defining the roles and responsibilities to the members according to there skill set. So, everyone performed best due to his strong grip in that area and as result the project remained on the track and the outcomes were pretty much upright
The aspect that “did not work so well” was the conflicting opinions of the team members. A lot of disagreement were during these situations because everyone was giving suggestions according to hi knowledge and sometimes it became unacceptable for the other members, but every time this issue was resolved by the mutual agreement of the group members. List clearly the two chosen project management issues from the chosen international speakers. Explain why you choose them.
[150 words]
According to international speakers the two project management issues are:
Target benefit: Identify the benefits of the project is the critical part of the project because it defines how the project will go profitably in the future. The expected outcomes and benefits of the project are not clearly identified in the beginning and as a result, project fails to give the expected benefits. Stakeholders of the project do not define the ultimate goals and vision of the project which takes organization towards unexpected failure. Unexpected environmental changes are the issues that occur regardless of planning and skills of the team or project manager. These issues include disasters and economical swings of the region where the project is based. So, along with proper planning, project managers also need to be careful about these unanticipated changes and should have a contingency plan to minimize their negative impacts.
For the first issue, identify at least one academic theory to deepen your insights into the issue
Briefly introduce [and reference] your chosen academic theory.

The benefits or outcomes of the project are mostly analysed at the initial stages of the project. These are the key points in proposal of the project and defines the criteria for the evaluation of the performance. For the effective selection of the project idea, project managers should have realistic and fact-based knowledge regarding budget, timeline and risk level of the project. (Bradley,2010; Ward and Daniel., 2006).
The theory explains that defining the outcomes of the project is the most crucial step in the initialization of the project. When the targets are not documented, the funding decisions and budgeting of the project cannot be accurate, and it can also affect the risk management because all these aspects like time, budget and risk are interconnected. Project mangers have the responsibilities to set up the budget, meeting deadlines and managing the risks so they must be skilful and have deep insight to the project.
The budgeting and timeline of project depends on the understood benefits because if the project is being implanted for clients or for some governmental organization it has to be coherent with the goals that lie behind the project. If the goals and objectives are not defined in any aspect then it may effect the budget and timeframe because it takes a lot of documentation and research to realise the actual benefits or risks. Moreover, risks and benefits go side by side in project , however in some cases risks can be managed and can be covered but the benefits and goals cannot be compromised because it holds the reputation of the project.
Project managers are considered as most knowledgeable people while working in teams, because they know the end results of project. If the PM is not understanding facts and real world aspects of the project. It may cause problems for the teams and stakeholders too. Further more, goals and objectives must be attainable and challenging because employees can only understand the importance of project if it reflects attainable goals and benefits attached to it.
Using your chosen theory to explain how this helps you to gain deeper insights into the first issue.
